Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Angel L. Henderson has been forging her way around the Atlanta theatre and film landscape for seven years. She has held both Lead and Supporting roles in several stage plays in the Metro Atlanta area. She recently completed her sixth run in The Company You Keep with WOW Onstage Productions and her third run in the Tragicomedy Stage Play, Damnation with Nspired Images, Inc. Only Begotten Son Productions also cast her in the All-Star Production of Mama’s Prayer.
Angel’s love for African American Literature led her to what she considers one of her most significant theater accomplishments to date, her portrayal as Bertha in August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. She later followed with what she considers her most challenging yet most exciting portrayal to date, as Carrie Ann Meadows and Doriah Foster in Somewhere in Summerville, which debuted at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival in October 2018.
Angel has held Lead Roles as Gwen in the film Family Stranger and Sissy in the pilot series Home Sweet Home.
